Checklist for newly admitted students
Prior to the start of the term, complete the steps below:
1. Pay your tuition deposit
A tuition deposit is required as soon as possible to secure your enrollment and to register for classes.
2. Apply for financial aid
Apply for financial aid early to be considered for federal grants, loans and work study programs. You'll begin by submitting the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Canadian students may refer to the Canadian Financial Resource Guide.
3. Submit your Minnesota Immunization Form
Minnesota law requires that all students born after 1956 and enrolled in a public or private post-secondary school in Minnesota be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, measles. mumps and rubella. You will not be able to register for classes until your immunization information is received.

4. Read required policies
At New Student Orientation, you will be required to sign a document that you have read and understood the following information and policies:

5. Register to attend Orientation
All new students participate in New Student Orientation. You’ll receive a comprehensive overview of what you'll need to know to transition into being a successful student at Northwestern.

Register for classes
Registration for the fall trimester begins in June 2017
Registration process - For students beginning classes in the fall 2017 trimester who have paid their tuition deposit, registration information will be emailed to you. The email will contain a link to class offerings for your review. Online registration for classes begins in June 2017.
Class schedules will be posted online approximately one month prior to the start of classes.
Books and supplies
A complete book list by class will be available at orientation. There will be time your first week of class to purchase books.

College of Chiropractic students are strongly advised to purchase a tablet computer. Students in the College of Health and Wellness are required to have a tablet or laptop that supports ExamSoft. These devices will be used throughout the curriculum to support instruction and examinations.

A parking sticker will be issued and must be displayed at all times when using the university parking facilities. Register your vehicle here.
